What We Do

We provide legal counseling, negotiation and/or litigation services in all the following areas, according to each individual’s need. We also conduct neutral workplace investigations in these areas.

When employees have been terminated from their jobs – or believe there is a significant risk of being terminated – we evaluate the circumstances, advise them whether they may have any legal claims, and strategize with them to seek the best possible results in the circumstances.  We often negotiate severance agreements for individuals at all levels of their organizations and, where appropriate, litigate claims on their behalf.

We regularly advise about and negotiate severance agreements on behalf of individuals at all levels in their organizations.

We provide legal counseling, negotiation and litigation services to individuals who have been victims of employment discrimination prohibited by law. This could involve discrimination, including harassment and/or retaliation, based on race, color, gender, pregnancy, national origin, age, disability, sexual identification or preference, citizenship status, marital status, veteran’s status, union activity, protected concerted activity, whistleblower status, or other legally protected characteristics or activities.

We provide legal counseling, negotiation and litigation services to individuals who have been victims of employment-related harassment and hostile environments prohibited by law. This could involve harassment based on race, color, gender, pregnancy, national origin, age, disability, sexual identification or preference, citizenship status, marital status, veteran’s status, union activity, protected concerted activity, whistleblower status, or other legally protected characteristics or activities.

We provide legal counseling, negotiation and litigation services to individuals who have been victims of employment-related retaliation prohibited by law. This could involve retaliation based on race, color, gender, pregnancy, national origin, age, disability, sexual identification or preference, citizenship status, marital status, veteran’s status, union activity, protected concerted activity, whistleblower status, or other legally protected characteristics or activities.

When individuals believe they have been the victims of wrongful behavior regarding any of their terms and conditions of employment (for example, hiring, compensation, promotion, demotion, transfer, discipline, training, leaves of absence, etc.), we evaluate the circumstances, advise them whether they may have any legal claims, and strategize with them to seek the best possible results in the circumstances. We often negotiate for our clients and where appropriate, litigate claims on their behalf. This could involve, for example, claims of unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, or claimed violations of various employment laws.

We evaluate, negotiate and draft employment contracts arising out of new hire situations, corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, or other circumstances. We also evaluate and advise regarding the enforcement of existing employment contracts through negotiation and/or litigation.

We evaluate and advise our clients regarding employment transitions affected by non-compete and confidentiality agreements. We also negotiate to avoid or resolve disputes under such agreements.

When individuals are facing or have experienced significant job changes or termination of employment due to corporate restructurings, divestitures or other M&A activity, we evaluate the circumstances, advise them whether they may have any legal claims, and strategize with them to seek the best possible results in the circumstances. We often negotiate new employment agreements, retention agreements, consulting agreements and/or or severance agreements for individuals at all levels of their organizations and, where appropriate, litigate claims on their behalf.

Our clients include whistleblowers trying to right wrongs they encounter in the workplace, both under the discrimination laws or otherwise.
